Angela came in for portraits a few weeks ago, and we had so. much. fun in the studio! I loved her style and I know my makeup artist was inspired by her beautiful pink peekaboo hair and her beautiful features. We had a wonderful time and I’m happy to share her experience now:
“When I saw the Model Call, I knew I had to apply! The last year and a half haven’t really been the easiest for me, so a day of pampering sounded amazing. I don’t have any pictures of just me and I thought this would be a great opportunity to celebrate and document my recent achievements.
My photo shoot was scheduled for the day after my 5th half marathon, which was at Disney World and I knew I’d be going into it on about 3 hours of sleep. I joked with Jenn that I hoped her makeup artist had some really good concealer!
The day of the shoot was so much fun! I’m pretty simple and when I’m not at work, I basically live in workout clothes. I wanted to do something completely opposite of my normal look, and Jenn has an amazing selection of dresses to choose from. Theresa did a fabulous job on my hair and makeup. I didn’t give her much direction (I rarely wear eye shadow and don’t even know how to use a curling iron), but she seemed to know exactly what I wanted.
Once we started the shoot, I have to admit that I felt a little uncomfortable and totally out of my comfort zone. Jenn quickly got me to loosen up and I trusted her when she told me that even though what I was doing seemed strange, the photos were going to look great! Between her and Theresa, I felt like a supermodel.
I was so anxious and excited before the photo reveal. The process is a great experience. Jenn had an amazing video ready, and then I got to see the best photos printed on the wall. Choosing my favorites was a very hard process because I loved all of them! I’ve never really seen myself as beautiful and it’s hard to look at them and believe they’re actually me.
I’m so happy I decided to do this. I know these photos are something I will cherish for the rest of my life.” ~Angela
