In between small business features this month I have decided to share portraits I have done of nurses, doctors and healthcare workers in the past. I want to share a bit about each of them and honor them as the local HEROES that they truly are. Today more than ever before we realize that healthcare workers are under-supported and underappreciated. Through this I want to say THANK YOU to these amazing women for their commitment and self-sacrifice. We love you and we are pulling for you every single day.
Today I start this celebration with Kristin Majinski. Kristin is a nurse practitioner right here in Milwaukee, and she is SO remarkable, she was also the *first* person to send me receipts for the Support Local Initiative. You read that right. The day after it launched she went over and bought lunch for her entire team from the PB&J Deli in West Allis.
It goes to show how selfless and giving Kristin is. Even through the untold stresses – the physical, mental and emotional – she is still doing for others endlessly. Not to mention she’s also a mother of two young twins!
Kristin, you are so very special. We love you and are so grateful for you. Keep your head up. Thank you for all you do.
