Today I have the most beautiful Monday treat to share with you all! Emilie came to me for a hybrid session – my most popular portrait service – to capture the full range of herself from business woman to bombshell. She was a pure joy to photograph and I’m obsessed with her images!
Now from Emilie on what the experience meant to her:
“Forty and fabulous!…because not every woman “peaks” in her twenties and thirties…
I have nearly fourteen years of practice as a clinical oncology pharmacist and thought it was time for some updated professional photos. I was inspired by Jennifer’s headshots when I explored her website in 2020. I revisited the idea in early 2021 and decided I wanted Jennifer to photograph me in more than just my professional attire! I wanted to celebrate entering a new decade in my life.Katrina did my hair and makeup and I felt beautiful and confident in both my professional and more dramatic looks. To be honest, I was a bit apprehensive about my “big day” but Jennifer and Katrina made me feel like a queen. It was a joyful and empowering experience to go beyond the professional headshots to “VOGUE model” in designer dresses. The smiles are REAL, and I learned (at least towards the end of the shoot) how to finally relax and engage with the camera. Jennifer is a talented artist who guides you through the shoot step-by-step!When I booked a session with Jennifer I wanted to see myself as others have seen me these past few years beyond my professional role. I wanted to celebrate my strength, my faith and my successes especially after some recent years of heartache and struggle. I wanted to be seen as a woman of high value, as my friends and family see me. It was a great experience to honor myself and those that have encouraged me.Thank you to Jennifer for helping me SEE myself. The reveal was spectacular, and I still can’t choose my favorites.I am grateful for these beautiful, eternal images of myself. I can SEE myself! To know and see yourself as valuable is priceless. I look forward to my next session with Jennifer and once again becoming a model and student of her art and creativity.” ~Emilie
