Mary was one of my Milwaukee brides several years ago, and so I was ecstatic to make her portraits! Mary is wonderful to be around – she is creative and expressive, and we had an excellent time making these images. She channels a classic, vintage, fun style – and Angelina Jolie from time to time as well.
What a joy to photograph. And now a bit about the experience from Mary:
“I decided to enter the model call because this has a been a year to remember. My husband endured End Stage Renal Failure and needed a Kidney Transplant. Watching him struggle with kidney disease was extremely difficult and stressful for our family. When I was cleared to be a donor, I decided to move forward.
That was over five months ago now and we are both doing so well. We were brave and strong and we have supportive families and friends who were with us every step of the way.
I am at a time in my life where I am very grateful. Every day, I am grateful for my three amazing children. I am lucky to be their mom and I work hard to set a good example for them. I am grateful for Brian. We are lucky enough to share interests in so many things and have so much to look forward to in the years ahead. I am grateful for my parents and siblings and all of my relatives who have loved and supported us and our children. I am also grateful for my friends and co-workers who are the icing on the cake of life.
Someday, I want my grandchildren and even maybe my great-grandchildren to look at these pictures and see a strong, confident, and kind woman who loved her family and always tried to do her best for them.
My husband and I were fortunate enough to have chosen Jenn to do our wedding pictures in 2011. She did such an amazing job that I knew I wanted to work with her again. Jenn is both incredibly professional and personal.
You know that you are in good hands and you can just enjoy the experience of being photographed. She is an artist and her photos are memories that will be treasured forever. Theresa is also an artist and I am still in awe of the magnificent job she did with my hair and makeup.
Thank you both so very much,
~Mary”
