There is no single way you’re supposed to look in these photographs.
At my private Milwaukee portrait studio, we’ll create a session around your version of sexy. Maybe that means beautiful lingerie and soft white sheets. Maybe it’s an oversized shirt, bare legs and messy hair. Maybe it’s dramatic light, a leather jacket, a sheer robe, or something that feels more like a fashion editorial than traditional boudoir.
You don’t need to know how to pose. You don’t need to arrive feeling fearless. And you definitely don’t need to become someone else for the camera.
I’ll take care of the rest.

CLASSIC BOUDOIR
Beautiful lingerie, soft fabrics, sheets, natural expressions and flattering light. If you love timeless boudoir photography, we can create photographs that feel sensual and polished without feeling overly posed or performative.
Your own lingerie becomes the foundation, and we’ll build the styling and sets around it.
SOFT + UNDONE
An oversized white button-down. A slouchy sweater and knee socks. A sheet. Bare shoulders. Tousled hair.
Some of the sexiest photographs are also the simplest.
We can strip away the elaborate styling and create images that feel intimate, relaxed and effortless.
GLAMOROUS + EDITORIAL
Boudoir can absolutely have a fashion moment.
Bring the drama with statement lingerie, heels, jewelry, a leather jacket, trench coat, sheer layers or one of the studio’s tulle and silky robes. We can play with stronger poses, dramatic lighting and styling that pushes your session toward editorial portraiture.
IMPLIED + ARTISTIC
You never have to show more than you want to.
If you’d like to explore implied nude or more artistic photographs, we can work with sheets, fabric, strategic posing, shadows, silhouettes and my sheer privacy screen to create images that reveal exactly as much or as little as you choose.

WHAT DO I WEAR FOR A BOUDOIR PHOTOSHOOT?
You’ll bring your own lingerie so that everything fits your body, personal style and comfort level exactly the way it should.
But lingerie is only the beginning.
My studio wardrobe and styling collection includes pieces we can layer into your session, including:

Before your session, we’ll plan all five looks together. You don’t need to arrive with five complete lingerie outfits and hope they photograph well. I’ll help you determine what to bring, what we can pull from the studio, and how each look contributes something different to your final collection.

THE BOUDOIR EXPERIENCE
1. YOUR STYLE SURVEY
Before we meet, you’ll complete a detailed style survey so I can learn what you’re drawn to, how you want to feel in your photographs, what you’re comfortable showing, and what you absolutely don’t want.
2. CONSULTATION + WARDROBE FITTING
When you arrive for your consultation, we’ll plan your five looks and go through the lingerie and clothing you’re considering. We’ll pair your pieces with anything useful from my studio wardrobe and decide how we want the session to flow.
This is also where we can talk openly about coverage, comfort and boundaries. Nothing is assumed.
3. PROFESSIONAL HAIR + MAKEUP
Your session begins with professional hair and makeup by Katrina, an industry-leading artist and educator with experience across skin tones and hair textures.
Whether you want soft and natural, polished and glamorous, or somewhere in between, your styling is created specifically for the photographs we’ve planned.
4. YOUR BOUDOIR PHOTOSHOOT
Once you’re in front of my camera, you don’t need to know what to do.
I’ll direct your posing, expression and movement throughout the entire session, right down to your hands, shoulders, chin and toes when necessary.
We’ll work through up to five looks, changing styling, lighting and mood along the way. And yes, we’ll photograph the details too.
5. YOUR REVEAL
Every image I present is fully retouched before you ever see it.
We’ll meet approximately two weeks later for your private reveal, where you’ll see the finished photographs for the first time and choose the images you love.
From there, I’ll guide you through your collection and artwork options.

BOUDOIR ALBUMS
A boudoir session creates something especially wonderful when the photographs are experienced together.
That’s why albums are the most popular finished product for my boudoir clients.
Your album can combine portraits, close details, full-body photographs, quieter images and statement photographs into one beautifully designed collection. The result feels less like a stack of individual pictures and more like the complete story of your session.
Albums are available in a range of cover materials and finishes and are custom designed around the photographs you choose.
Folio boxes, wall art and digital collections are also available.

People book boudoir sessions for all kinds of reasons.
Sometimes it’s a gift for a partner. Sometimes it marks a birthday, wedding, anniversary or major change. Sometimes they’ve spent years thinking about doing it and finally decide they’re ready.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW MUCH DOES A BOUDOIR PHOTOSHOOT COST?
The session fee is $449 + tax and includes professional hair and makeup, session planning, wardrobe consultation, access to studio wardrobe pieces, your fully guided photoshoot and private image reveal. Photographs and finished products are purchased separately, with portrait collections beginning at $2,500.
DO I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO POSE?
No. I will direct you throughout the entire session, including your body position, hands, expression and movement. Most of my clients are not models and arrive with no idea how to pose.
DO I HAVE TO WEAR LINGERIE?
Nope.
Your session can include lingerie, but it can also include sweaters, button-down shirts, sheets, robes, jackets, bodysuits, dresses, implied nude photographs or anything else that fits the way you want to be photographed.
DO YOU PROVIDE LINGERIE?
You’ll provide your own lingerie so that your pieces fit you properly and reflect your personal style.
The studio provides plenty of additional styling options including robes, sweaters, jackets, fabrics, sheets and other pieces we can incorporate into your five looks.
CAN I DO IMPLIED NUDE OR CLOTHING-OPTIONAL PHOTOGRAPHS?
Absolutely. If you want to include implied nude or clothing-optional photographs, we’ll discuss your comfort level during planning and create them intentionally. Sheets, fabrics, strategic posing, silhouettes and the studio’s sheer screen give us plenty of options for controlling how much is shown.
WILL MY BOUDOIR PHOTOS BE SHARED ONLINE?
Your privacy matters. Your photographs will never be shared publicly without your permission. You decide whether I may share any images from your session.
IS PROFESSIONAL HAIR AND MAKEUP INCLUDED?
Yes. Professional hair and makeup is included in the session fee.
WHERE DO BOUDOIR SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
Boudoir sessions are photographed in my private West Allis portrait studio, just outside Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK?
If your photographs are intended for a wedding, anniversary, birthday or another specific date, I recommend reaching out well in advance so we have plenty of time for your consultation, session, reveal and production of your finished album or artwork.

Boudoir is simply another part of that work.
I’m a Master Portrait Photographer, and my work has appeared in magazines and publications nationally and internationally.
My West Allis studio was built specifically around creating a safe and fully guided portrait experience, from the first conversation and wardrobe fitting through the moment you see your finished photographs.
Boudoir is one of my favorite reasons people walk through my door. Yes, they can give us confidence and they can be a nice gift to someone. But they always end up being more for ourselves than we thought they’d be.
They give us a marker in time: this is who I was at 25. This was me at 40. This is what 55 looked like.
And I think that’s worth photographing. ♥
