Amanda came to the studio for maternity portraits a few weeks ago. She is a true classic beauty, and I really wanted to make the session equally as classic, simple, elegant and beautiful. I am so thrilled with the images we came away with. It was a total joy to photograph Amanda and I know she will be excited to share these images with her child in the future. Now a bit on her experience:
“I am a manager with a global organization here in Milwaukee. I am a wife to a creative, loving husband and a mom to a sweet and spunky 3-year-old. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our second baby. Knowing that this is likely my last pregnancy, it made me even more excited to get the chance to capture this special moment with Jennifer’s help.
I first met Jennifer while she was photographing my good friend’s wedding. I started following her on Facebook shortly after and always admired the breathtaking art of her photographs. I wanted to be photographed by Jennifer in order to show women that even in your final trimester, you can still feel comfortable and beautiful. She did that and so much more!
I did not do a maternity session with our first child. To be completely honest, I did not think maternity sessions were for me. During my consultation, Jennifer showed how she tailors each of her sessions, maternity, and non-maternity, to fit the client. Her goal was to make me feel like me and most importantly the best version of me.
The day of the photos, I felt completely taken care of. Jennifer reviewed wardrobe details to make sure nothing changed and continuously checked in to ensure I felt comfortable. She also brought in Theresa to do my hair and makeup. I often get nervous when my makeup is done because I do not wear any makeup in my everyday life. Theresa did a wonderful job making me look like me, a fancy (but not too fancy) natural version of me.
When I had my reveal session with Jennifer, it literally took my breath away. She caught every amount of love I have for this little baby. I will be forever grateful that she was able to capture this memory for my family and me. It’s difficult for me to slow down sometimes and especially difficult for me to take time for myself. Jennifer helped me realize the beauty that can occur when you do. For that, I cannot thank her enough.”
