During this time, many local small businesses are deeply impacted by the crucial Stay at Home mandate. Restaurants have been forced to close their dining rooms and limit themselves to curbside pickup and takeout or delivery. But also, so many face-to-face businesses that cannot do business virtually have been forced to shut their doors.
This includes photographers but also businesses like beauty salons, day spas, makeup artists, hairstylists, massage therapists, tattoo artists and piercing studios.
I have decided to launch a Shop Local Initiative to do what I can to encourage the support of family owned and local small businesses.
Now through the end of April:
Order your meals or a gift card from any local, family-owned (non-chain, non-corporate) restaurants, cafes or delis,
-and/or- make an advanced gift card or gift certificate purchase for a future service with a:
1. Locally owned small business
2. With a storefront / physical shop location
3. That provides personal face-to-face services in one of the categories listed above.
I might strongly recommend any of the following:
Restaurants and Cafes:
The Peanut Butter and Jelly Deli
Urban Joe Café
Antigua Latin Inspired Kitchen
Señor Sol
Sze Chuan Restaurant
Celesta Restaurant
Urban Beets Cafe’ and Juicery
Beerline Cafe
Babe’s Ice Cream
East Side Ovens
Personal Services:
Gadis Beauty Salon
The Posh Beauty Bar
East West Bodywork Center (massage)
The Collective Hair Salon
Save your receipts.
When they total $250 or more, take pictures of each, or one photo of all of them, and upload them using the form you see below.
You’ll receive a digital gift certificate, valued at $500 to be used at any time toward a full-experience portrait session in my studio.
($249 to pay for your session fee + the balance toward the collection of your choice. No cash value. Not good toward a la carte purchases.)
Thank you for joining with me to support local small businesses during this difficult time. I am so proud to join together with you, here in our local community to uplift one another and survive this uncertainty with love and support and a like-mindedness of humanity and hope.
