Contemporary Portrait Session – Milwaukee – Oneida – Jenny’s Session

“When it comes to myself and talking about me, I find it very challenging. I’ve honestly been trying to find myself over the last couple of years and trying to figure out who I truly am as a person outside of being a mother and working. I’ve been working for others for so long, I’ve lost my artist self, and I’ve been working really hard to find me again, and do what I’m meant to do, which is to create.

After seeing my cousin’s photoshoot and how amazing she looked, I wanted to reach out to Jenn and see what she could do for me as I start on this new chapter in my life. I’ve been wanting to get some branding shots for my business venture, and I loved her style and how she makes her images feel warm, yet unique, so I had to reach out and take this opportunity and just do it.

The consultation experience was great. Jenn hand picked numerous outfits for me to try on according to my style guide, and worked with me through the process of selecting what I felt most comfortable in.

Along with taking some great branding shots, I was also able to take some fun photos of myself, which I would have never done otherwise. Jenn made it a great experience overall.

I’m not going to lie, the experience was a bit nerve-wracking for me because I don’t like to be the center of attention, I’m extremely shy, and I like to keep to myself. Jenn was able to get me to laugh and ease up a bit, and I appreciate what she did for me to make me feel like myself. She really does make it your own and she’s there to help you every step and guide you to capture some great images.

Having my hair and makeup done by Katrina was another bonus because Katrina was able to listen to how I wanted my hair curled, and my makeup done, and then gave it an extra boost to really make me feel amazing.

The reveal was special in itself because Jenn put together all of the images she captured that day and really gave me the time I needed to look them over to help me narrow them down to the ones that I loved the most.” ~Jenny
