“It is a frightening and beautiful privilege to be a woman. We are sisters, mothers, friends, daughters, lovers; we are our own worst critic and our biggest advocates.
From a young age we’re are taught that we will need to learn cunning resilience, to be needful but not needy, to be extra ordinary while also habitual. We scrape and claw on hands and knees towards what we need, often times forgoing what we want.
When I entered my 40’s I was determined to become the woman I pictured I would be as not just a child, but a young twenty something and then a growing thirty something as well. I entered this decade wanting health, happiness, to honor my strengths and admit my faults; to grow.
A few friends of mine have worked with Jennifer over the last several years, and each loved their experience and end products. It’s a rare moment, when you are able to let your hair down, let your guard down and see yourself from the other side; to feel confident without apologizing, pretty, funny, sexy and strong. It is truly a gift.
Jennifer made me so comfortable during the shoot. I was nervous, she eased that in a way that allowed me to let go and really sink into myself. It started as needing new headshots and ended with a very emotional experience. Jennifer is a true master of her craft.
The reveal session was so amazing and emotionally overwhelming, the work was stunning – the whole thing was quite indescribable and I cannot say enough about the feels I felt – and didn’t expect!
