SENIOR PORTRAITS
Before everything changes.

This is the threshold.
The end of one version of your life and the beginning of whatever comes next.
Senior year is full of lasts and firsts, plans and uncertainty, people you’ve known forever and a future you can barely picture yet.
You don’t need to know exactly who you’re becoming.
This is worth remembering because of who you are right now.

Built around who you are.
Your session starts before the camera ever comes out. We’ll talk about what you wear every day, what you’d never wear, what you’re into, what matters to you and what kind of photographs actually feel exciting.
Bring the instrument. The uniform. The ridiculous jacket you love. The dress you’ve been waiting for an excuse to wear. Bring ideas. Bring no ideas at all.
You don’t need to arrive knowing how to turn any of it into photographs.
That’s my job.

You get to just be in front of the camera.
You don’t need to know what to do with your hands.
You don’t need to practice poses in the mirror.
You don’t need to be “photogenic.”
I’ll guide you through the whole thing: where to stand, what to do, where to look, what to do with your face, your shoulders, your hands, all of it.
And somewhere along the way, you’ll probably stop thinking about the camera altogether.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“Jennifer is such a unique and extraordinary person. She’s patient, attentive, and has a special way of making you feel at ease. This made the whole process feel so much more comfortable, especially since being photographed can sometimes feel unfamiliar or awkward.”
— Kennedy

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“I’ve never felt more beautiful than I do now. When I look at those pictures, I feel the corners of my mouth twitch because I can’t help but smile. The amount of self-confidence these photos have given me is unbelievable.”
— Jackie
The Senior Portrait Experience
PLANNING
We’ll plan the session together, including wardrobe, styling, interests, ideas and the overall direction for your portraits.
Optional professional hair and makeup is included for those who want it, and my studio wardrobe is available to add options you may not have at home.
SESSION
At the studio, we’ll create a range of portraits in different outfits, lighting and setups.
I’ll direct you throughout the entire session, so there is nothing you need to know how to do before you arrive.
REVEAL
A few weeks after your session, you’ll see the finished portraits together and choose the images you love.
Portrait collections begin with 10 images, and you only purchase the portraits you want to keep.

The ones you’ll both love.
There are photographs you’ll want because they feel exactly like you.
There are photographs your parents will want because somehow they can still see the five-year-old, the twelve-year-old and the almost-grown person standing in front of them all at once.
We’ll make room for both.
And years from now, they may not even be the same favorites they are today.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“She allowed me the chance to show my daughter what I see when I look at her. What a true gift — not only the photographs, but the overall experience as well.”
— Leah, Kennedy’s mom

Hi, I’m Jennifer.
I’m the person who will tell you exactly what to do with your hands.
I’ve been photographing people for more than 20 years, which means I’m very good at making something complicated feel pretty easy when you’re the person standing in front of the camera.
I love great clothes, dramatic light, weird ideas, beautiful faces, ridiculous props and figuring out how to photograph someone in a way I haven’t done before.
You don’t have to show up confident. You don’t have to know your “best side.” And you definitely don’t have to know how to pose.
You just have to show up.
I’ll take it from there.

However you show up, let’s make something good.

Frequently Asked Questions
When should we book senior portraits?
I photograph a limited number of seniors each year, so earlier is always helpful, especially if you have a particular month in mind.
Most families book several weeks to a few months in advance. If senior year has already started and you’re just getting around to portraits, reach out anyway! If I have room on the calendar, I’d love to create something with you.
What should I wear?
We’ll figure that out together.
Before your session, we’ll talk about your personal style, what you already own and love, and the different sides of yourself you’d like to photograph. We’ll build a wardrobe plan with enough variety to create a collection that feels like you.
My studio wardrobe is also available, with pieces ranging from simple staples to gowns, jackets, tulle, sequins and wonderfully ridiculous things that can completely transform a look.
You don’t need to arrive with ten perfect outfits already figured out.
Can I bring my instrument, sports gear or something else I’m into?
Please do.
Music, sports, dance, art, theater, books, fashion, collections, hobbies and the things you’ve spent years getting really good at can all become part of your session.
We’ll talk about those things during planning so I can think beyond simply including them in a photograph and consider how we can build something visually interesting around them.
What if I have absolutely no idea what I want?
That’s completely fine.
Some seniors arrive with screenshots, outfits and very specific ideas. Others know approximately one thing: I need senior pictures. 😂
I’ll ask questions, get to know you a little, and help shape the session from there. Coming up with the plan is part of the experience.
Do I need to know how to pose?
Nope.
I’ll guide you through the entire session, including where to stand, what to do with your hands, where to look, how to move and all the tiny adjustments that make a photograph work.
You don’t need any experience in front of a camera. That’s what I’m there for.
Is professional hair and makeup included?
Optional professional hair and makeup is included and is tailored to the person in front of us.
The goal is never to turn you into someone you don’t recognize. Hair and makeup should support the photographs we’re creating while still letting you look like yourself.
Can a parent come to the session?
Absolutely.
Parents are welcome to be part of the experience, hang out at the studio and watch everything come together.
And if your senior would relax more easily with a little space, that’s okay too. We can follow their lead.
Who is photographed during a senior session?
Your senior!
These sessions are designed entirely around one person, and all of our planning, wardrobe, styling and camera time is devoted to creating their portrait collection.
Family portraits, sibling portraits, parent headshots and pet portraits require a separate session.
How do we choose our photographs?
After your session, we’ll meet on Zoom for your private reveal and you’ll see your finished portraits for the first time.
We’ll go through them together, narrow down your favorites, and you’ll choose the collection that’s right for you.
And yes, seniors and parents occasionally have different favorites. That’s part of the fun. ❤️
How much does a senior portrait experience cost?
The session fee is $449 and includes your planning consultation, fully guided portrait session, and professional retouching and preparation of your finished images.
Portraits are purchased separately after your session:
10 portraits — $2,500
15 portraits — $3,400
20 portraits — $4,300
Black Label — $4,950
30 portraits + wall art + additional studio perks
You don’t need to choose a collection before your session. After your portraits are finished, we’ll meet for your private reveal, see everything we’ve created, and you’ll decide what you’d like to keep.

Before everything changes.
There will never be another version of you exactly like this one.
Let’s make something worth keeping.
